Ist spontanes Theater im „Hier und Jetzt“. Ist Theater mit dem Publikum.
Ohne auswendig gelernten Text, ohne Bühnenbild, selten mit Requisiten oder Kostüm sagen wir grundsätzlich (im übertragenen Sinne) zu dem, was uns gegeben wird „Ja!“ und bespielen die Bühne nach den Vorgaben des Publikums.

Wir fragen zum Beispiel nach einer Beziehung zwischen zwei Menschen (die ZuschauerInnen rufen dann zum Beispiel „Mutter-Tochter“ auf die Bühne) oder einem Ort (zum Beispiel „in einem Park“ oder „in einem Labor“). Aus diesen Vorgaben bauen wir spontan Szenen und erzählen so auf der Bühne längere oder kürzere Geschichten. Diese können lustig oder traurig sein aber auch mal provokant sein oder zum Nachdenken anregen. In jedem Fall unterhalten, berühren, reflektieren und bewegen.
Beim Improtheater gibt es auch neben „freien Szenen“ (hier werden nur die Vorgaben des Publikums verwendet) viele „Spiele“, die einen Rahmen vorgeben und die SpielerInnen sprachlich, körperlich oder pantomimisch herausfordern und die Zuschauenden durch ihre Vorgaben mit einbeziehen.
